Some map screenshots

Waste Disposal and Last Stand are probably the hardest levels in the game. Anyone want to post their strategies? Here's some maps to help. I am not including a solution, but if you haven't seen these maps yet, it may be a bit of a spoiler.

Here's the path I used (green line). Mazing towers are red-dotted, but I don't remember what other attacking towers I had.

I haven't seen that one before (though I like it). I might use only two towers to block off the lower left instead of 4 (since the guys only pass by there once).. or do the towers below hit the enemies walking by on the path above?

Actually, I think the main difference between yours and mine was in the middle left platform. Yours looks like ][, mine looks like =, if that makes sense.

Yes, you do only need two towers to block the lower left, but I'm pretty sure I saw the upper two can hit the walkway too. I'll admit the reason I did it that way was to slightly lengthen the pre-core path, though. There was very little scope for that with this path, so most of the cores would usually be out of the housing, reducing interest.

If I understand your change to the middle left platform, that would shift two more killing grounds (the two bottom right ones) from post-core to pre-core, which would certainly be an improvement!

I tried for ages to bring the top left loop into play somehow, but it just couldn't be done.

Again, most attacking towers are missing. I know I had a whole bunch of missiles in the mid-right, and there was definitely a couple of meteors somewhere. At some point, I added some baffles to the open platforms to wind the path a bit, but this shows the bare essentials of the route, and the important kill-zone in the middle.

The four pink dots are fully upgraded cannon, the two orange ones are temporal, and the blue one is a command tower. No sneaky lurkers escaping my cannon in there!

It was only after completing it that I figured you could get an additional loop in by sacrificing the top left and bottom right cannon, and making the path loop round the inner three sides of the square too.

To be honest, I don't think this would be worth losing the cannon for, as only two additional platforms would be passed, and one of those was full of missiles.

13 towers and you can have both streams passing through the middle platform.

The first ten you get at the beginning of the level, the next three you can build by wave 3. Then you can fill in the middle with temporal, concussions and guns with cannons looking down on them.

Here's mine for Last Stand (so far as I can remember it, anyhow). I've also simplified it for clarity, in the actual layout I had killzones and other towers placed to make their routes slightly longer.

The groups entering from A had the longest trek, obviously, but no alien got past point C through the 99 levels of Grinder.

Mine is different from the above version, and I think it's better because the bottom upper path has minimal exposure to my towers.

This is as far as I can remember. Could be wrong of some of the GUN tower upgrades.

Didn't lose a core.
Green dots are towers necessary 4 the maze. Blue dots are commandtowers. Cyan squares are temporaltowers. Red squares are missletowers. Obviously I haven't drawn all the ATKTowers in. Every Island must be passed twice by the mobs so its rly effective.

This is my last stand, finished it first go. Whoho!

It has a really long path for one of the entry/exit - too bad for those baddies. heh.

I've even added some hotspots which you can put a load of upgraded towers for a good party time. Denoted with the red smilies.

The 'f' button is very helpful.
